didn't worry me a bit. I woke on the stroke of 4 this morning.
25th and was half dressed almost before the church clock had finished striking. I douced my head with icy cold water and felt very much awake thereafter.
No sign of Peter so I packed the few things I had left myself and sneaked out of the house about 4.45 A.M. not wishing to disturb Madame (who happened to be alone in the house this night) lest she rise hastily and demand payment for a cup which was broken by Peter yesterday whilst play fully throwing it into the air and catching it. He failed to catch it once.
