of everything. I wish this awful war was over but I am afraid the Russian debacle has put the end farther off than ever. Still we must only keep pegging on living & hoping for the glorious days of peace after the victory.

Good bye for the present, my darling Mother & Father. May God ever guard & comfort you all. Tons & Tons of love to you Eileen & little Roger from your loving boy

P.S. Tell Eileen I will write as soon as I get a chance. The girls have bought some sweet little garments as a present from me to little darling boy Roger & are sending them out.
