[Continuation of translation]

The Telephone Bureau in Herbertshohe is entirely destroyed.

Father Dick was taken prisoner from a boat which had put in from Vunapope but was later released.  I told the officer that a message to the wireless station and to the Governor's Private Secretary would take at least 6 to 7 hours.
Kindly sent me news of the Europeans at Herbertshohe.

Yours faithfully,

Translated by Lieut L. B. Ravenscroft
Provost Marshal
11th Sept 1914.
