I hope ere this Friday Mother has gone South & Day too if it can be arranged; in easy stages our Mother must be much stronger now, thank goodness Omit
Tins of Kearnigs Powder from arrived tonight, here we are able to keep comparatively clean-
On the salt Lakes & away on the Nile Valley, there are Plover Duck & Snipe, but the Sheiks or Chiefs of friendly natives say if we fire one shot the natives will all clear ed out, they are so shy & frightened, that something dreadful is going to happen 12 Bore Cartridges at 20 shilling a 100 can be bought, but guns are scarce.
