My Dear Marks,

Please accept my heartiest congratulations on receiving the D.S.O.

That you have so thoroughly deserved this, your third honour in the war, no one is better able to judge than I.

May you be spared to continue your good work as Commanding Officer of the 13th Battalion one of the best in
the A.I.F., and exercise that energy and good judgment whichall young officers in the 4th Bde. are urged to copy.
