There was an meeting audience in the Quiet Room of the Y.M.C.A. of about 30, & there were two supporters on each side. In the end, after the [indecipherable] by me of natorical eloquence to presentation of facts, & by him of presentation of facts to oratorical eloquence he beat me by three votes.
Last Monday the second weekly debate was held in a crowded room, & by its spirited nature & earnestness, set the seal of success on the society. The subject was: "Is it justifiable for one nation to prescribe for another its form of government ?"
