of the unit & take my camels over too.
When here - a mile further down the beach - I handed over my camels to the corporal who is in command of them. Thus ends the history of my Black Command.
It is rather typical of this corps for although the corporal & a man look after the camels neither can speak a work of Arabic they would not put me on the job.
And then this morning they made me a Lance Corporal!!
