enveloped in the gloaming. The sky & sea are now dark deep blue while the direction of the Happy Isles is a deepening crimson emerging into orange which gradually melts into the all pervading blue, just above the Low in the west twinkles a solitary star, early as yet a lonely harbinger of the myriads of the night, while a little to the left & yet higher up a crescent moon sails serenely to its bourne.
In the twinkling of an eye the glow fades, the stars rush out & the velvety
