works which profess to communicate & figure such new plants as are introduced in England to the director of any one or two of these, I would most willingly forward the seeds or roots of this country on an assurance that such as are new, would there be figured and described, on this point therefore, I solicit your advise and opinion, & hope it will be such as to encourage me not to pass over the many opportunities I shall have in thus advancing Botanical Science.
