it I expect in about two months from whence I hope my letters will become interesting to you.
The Danish Ship which I have detained was bound for Tranquebar, but having ennemy goods on board & some contraband articles as likewise bringing public dispatches from the Hague to governor Jansen who commanded here I think she must be condemned as a Prize to the Porpoise & the Woolwich. She is loaded principally with Navel Stores & by one deposition it appears she has pig Iron which is highly contraband indeed her whole cargo appears to have been intended for this Place she is worth about thirty thousand pounds if we can condemn her - at all events she is detainable.
I must close my letters to be ready for the Adamant, but shall write to you again when I sail. I enclose all for you to the Secretary of the States Office, as I have done before by way of St Helena & Rio. I cannot sufficiently express how happy I shall be to hear from you having you always in my mind with real prayers for your health & happiness together with Lady Banks and your sister to whom I beg to be remembered.
Believe me my Dear Sir ever your faithful and affectionate humble servant
W. Bligh
I repeat my compliments to all our friends.
I have received every mark of attention and respect here by Sir David Baird who has endeavored to make every thing [indecipherable] to me.
Sir Joseph Banks, Bart.
