Wrote 8th Pinnock & J.F. & Aunt Liz,
Letter from Bob

About 3 AM I was wakened with our guns opening out a barrage, which lasted about 20 minutes. We expected Fritz over, but no he never came. After breakfast we salvaged wire, infact we have been looked for wire all day. After tea a lot of our Airmen were flying around here & they gave us a good exhibition of tricky flying, some were coming about 12 feet from the ground, its a lovely evening & we enjoyed the fun a treat. We are quite comfortable in our little dugout, we are not afraid of Fritz coming over, if he does come we will soon be ready to entertain him.

Got my eyes attended to & my throat painted today.
