9th A.M.G.Coy - 9 Guns in the Line, 3 in Support, 4 in Reserve.
During the period up to 8th August, 24th A.A.S.C. drew supplies from POULAINVILLE and delivered to Units by Light Railway. After the 8th August supplies were drawn from Railhead at VILLERS-BRET and delivered to Units by Light Railway, Lorry or Wagon.

Bde ordered to take over whole of Liason Force Front from River SOMME to the present Northern Brigade Boundary at L.7.c.5.2.

1 am Above relief completed. Brigade disposed as follows :-
34th and 35th Bns in the Line, on Left and Right Sectors respectively; and 33rd Bn in Support.
9 am Bde warned to attack on the 22nd inst. The operation to be as follows :- 9th A.I Bde were to attack along the ETINHEM SPUR to HAPPY VALLEY on the extreme Right of III Corps. The 1st Aust Div. continuing the attack South of the River.

3rd Aust, Pioneer Bn took over the Sector from the 35th Bn.

Approach march and and assembly of troops carried out satisfactorily.
4.45 am Zero Hour. Barrage opened excellently. 33rd and 35th Bns attacked, with the 34th Bn in Support. The 3rd Aust. Pioneer Bn advancing on the right 200 yards to gain observation of BRAY. Enemy shelled our front line.and back areas immediately after Zero.
6.25 am Attack progressing favourably.
8.24 am 35th Bn on BROWN LINE, in touch on both Flanks.
9.35 am 33rd Bn reports GREEN LINE captured. 33rd Bn report capture of 13 Officers and 224 Other Ranks, including the Bn Commander, Adjutant, M.G. Officer and Artillery Liason Officer of the 124 I.Regt.
10 am Line being consolidated. Trench Mortars materially assisted the Pioneer Bn whilst consolidating.
5.30 pm Enemy Counter attacked the III Corps Front. The 47th Div and the 12th Div retreated before the enemy, who was making only a half-hearted attempt to gain ground on their Front.
