1.3.16 to 9.3.16
Usual trench warfare, inter-battalion reliefs, harassing fire on enemy wire, trenches, supports, positions etc. by Artilllery, T.M's and M.G's.  Patrol work. Usual enemy shelling of trenches, localities, dumps and approaches. 

10.3.16 to 12.3.16
9th A.I.Bde. took over whole HOUPLINES - L'EPINETTE.  Arrangements completed for Gas attack.  Usual reciprocol shelling, patrolling etc.  One Stokes mortar put out of action.

13.3.16  2.3 am 
S.O.S. up from locality 16.  Heavy enemy Box Barrage put down on locality 16 & 17 and along Urish Avenue. Enemy attempted to enter our line without success. 2 rifles and a peaked Bavarian cap found in "No man's" land subsequently.  Our casualties  Wounded 3 Other Ranks
8.12 pm  On a RED Light being fired by enemy opposite locality 11 our Artillery immediately put down  an S.O.S. barrage.  This action was stopped by Bn. H.Q.
11.40 pm  11th A.I. Bde. Special party raided the enemy lines near Lille railway. Our line thinned and contributory taken as per Bde. Order 44 & 45.

14.3.16
Heavy reciprocol bombardments by both artilleries.  Much damage done to trenches.  
At 7.6 p, 7.51 pm and 9.5 pm our Artillery replied to the enemy's red light flare with an S.O.S. barrage which was quickly stoped by Bde. H.Q.

15.3.16 to 18.3.16
Heavy reciprocol bombardments.  Our heavies on the 18th caused a large explosion, accompanied by dense volumes of smoke from the enemy's rear position.
8.15 pm  Our Artillery responded to S.O.S. from locality 16  Signal not confirmed.  Artillery ceased.

19.3.16  
1 pm  Heavy enemy bombardment of localities 8, 9 and 10.
7.30 pm  Gas released from localities 8 and 13 and smoke from locality 11. (Bde. Order 47)
8.30 pm  Gas released from locality 4.  Gas attack proved successful. Enemy fired green rockets and verey lights, and search lights were brought to bear on the Smoke Clouds. There was also considerable rifle fire.

20.3.16 to 27.3.16
Heavy Medium and Light T.M's carried out very successful shoot.
9.23 pm  One battery opened on S.O.S. in response to two red lights from Enemy line.  Ceased.  Heavy bombardments.  Several working parties dispersed by our Artillery, M.G. & L.T.M. fire.  Usual patrolling.  Casualties for month:-
