I cannot do anything but as soon as you let me know that you are coming over here I shall send in an application.

I'm glad that you have a pal whom you think such a lot of and who thinks such a lot of you.  You had better let me have his number rank &c & his unit when you write again.

Your report that everything at home was tip-top when you left is very satisfactory.

I have noted the new address of home - Kerford St - thanks.

With your letter I received letters from the Mater & Pater Aunt Alice, Maie & Ida and they all refer to you.  There is no news in the letters worth repeating to you, and no doubt you have also received letters by the same mail.

Now, lad, I cant spare the time just now to write much more and even if I could I have nothing more to say to you.  Things are very uninteresting here just now & there is very little difference or variety in things generally from day to day.  I am pleased to say I am still quite fit & well though I shall not be sorry when the whole sordid business is through.
