the very best of health & happiness. Please give my love to Bert & Maie & give my wonderful niece a kiss for me. Please give my kindest of kind regards to Aunts Mary & Alice & Uncle Walker and to Mr W.G. Smith Mr Kennedy, Mr Hasler, Fred Warne, the Tucker family, all of my friends & all people who may be kind enough to ask after me.
I am thankful to say that I am still going strong. I am in excellent health, fit & well, merry & bright, and as happy & contented as the present surroundings & conditions allow. Despite my foregoing complaints I still have a lot of fun and generally manage to see the cheery side of things. At the same time I must admit to my ever present feeling of homesickness, which daily grows more intense.
