Brown or Ida, or Miss Wilson or even an old lady at a farm at which she might be staying is the real thing required.  The Mater would get on excellenty with a cheery old dame at some little farm if such could be found and this would give her company without her suffering the reaction of constant visitors creating a state of high spirits which vanishes when those visitors go - leaving harm rather than benefit in the long run.

Well Pater I'm afraid I'll overdo it if I write more in this strain.  Your remark about my letters cheering the Mater up so much is appreciated and I shall do my best to continue in this respect though as far as the last few weeks are concerned I'm afraid Ive been rather at a disadvantage.  And
